I used SharpDevelop for creating small projects and it works pretty well. It's fast and responsive. I haven't able to get it to crash yet. I can write win form, wpf, or asp.net mvc by using SharpDevelop. I like this more than Visual Studio Express because on VS Express, I need to install the Web Express for asp.net coding, and the C# express for coding Win Form and WPF. Keep it up guys!
